Ackerman Elementary School would like to congratulate Ms. Maggie Wehr’s homeroom for bringing in the most cans for the food drive. The school collected over 700 pounds of food! #teamAES


4th grade students at Ackerman Elementary School have been leaning about pardoned turkeys in reading. Students created their own turkeys and used persuasive reasoning to defend their turkeys. Each homeroom had a pardoned turkey and a standby turkey. #teamAES

Mrs. Shelia Jackson was chosen as the Teacher of the Year. Her colleagues noted her hard work, dedication to students, how she always makes learning fun and engaging, and her love for teaching.
Mr. Jeffrey Gammill was chosen as the Paraprofessional of the Year. Colleagues stated how he helps anyone in need, is always working hard to ensure things are getting done, and for always going above and beyond for the school.
