Mrs. Ashlie Hollis and Mrs. Lindsey Herring represented Ackerman Elementary School at the National ESEA Conference in Denver, Colorado last week.
The National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators (NAESPA) announced that Ackerman Elementary School, located in Ackerman, was named a National ESEA Distinguished School by the state education agency in Mississippi. This prestigious honor, awarded to only up to 100 schools nationwide each year, highlights the schools exceptional achievement and commitment to student success. What an incredible honor! #teamAES

Ackerman Elementary School would like to thank the Healthcare & Sports Med Students from CCCTC for coming to teach a lesson on handwashing to 2nd grade. They did an experiment to show the importance of using soap, a fun dance to remember the steps, and a “glitter high-five” activity to see just how quickly germs can spread. #teamAES
