Mrs. Herring's and Ms. White's students at Ackerman Elementary School made a kindness tree in honor of MLK day. They learned facts about Dr. King and then discussed the importance of being kind to everyone and treating all people with respect. Students brainstormed ways to be kind and chose a way to write on their leaf for the tree. #teamAES

Here they tested sugar and sprinkles both to see if humming or speaker noise would cause more vibration. So proud of these little scientists! #WeirExcellenceShines

Weir Elementary School Weir Elementary School 1st grade is working on addition with regrouping - that equals 100. Each student picked their own numbers for six sprinkle colors. But, they had to add up to 100. Great job 1st grade mathematicians!!! #WeirExcellenceShines

Weir Elementary School Weir 1st grade students are learning about sound in Science class. Today, students are learning the parts of the ear. The students programmed a ‘mouse bot’ following it through the ear to show how sound travels to the brain. #WeirExcellenceShines

Little Miss Charger pageant forms are available at all three Choctaw County elementary schools. The pageant will be March 2nd at 1:00pm in the Ty Cobb Auditorium. We will have more winners this year along with gift baskets, crowns, flowers, and trophies! Forms and $25 entry fee are due February 16th.
