Sports Medicine students are learning about assessment and treatment of upper extremity injuries. They practiced various orthopedic tests to identify common injuries involving strains, sprains, fractures, thoracic outlet syndrome, nerve injuries, and subluxations/dislocations.

Second year culinary students are practicing the skills they will need when they compete at the state SkillsUSA competition. Elijah will be competing in the culinary competition and Nicholas will be competing in commercial baking.

Due to flooded road conditions CCSD will operate on a 2 hour delay on Tuesday February 11, 2020. Bus drivers will use extra caution. Breakfast will not be served.


Due to the potential of flooding roads CCSD will be dismissing at 1:45pm. We will continue to monitor the weather throughout the evening! Be safe and weather aware!


Little league basketball at the Ty Cobb has been cancelled for tonight due to weather conditions.

In Mrs. Emily Tuck and Ms. Logan’s class at Ackerman Elementary School students played Alphabet marks the Spot! The kids had a blast as they rolled the cube and found the matching beginning sounds!





Congratulations to our SkillsUSA team. They came home from district competition with 1st place in opening/closing, extemporaneous speaking, and job demo; 2nd place in carpentry and technical math; and 4th place in quiz bowl!


Carpentry students are working on building book cases for the Choctaw County Library!

Mrs. Jackie Wise has a significant role at Weir Elementary School. As counselor, she interacts with staff, students, parents, and previous students regularly. She always does her job with a smile and a kind word. Pictured is Mrs. Wise being presented a token of appreciation by Mrs. Martin and first grade students. The basket of treats was given by WES staff.


Mrs. Jean Maree McCulloch’s 4th graders at Ackerman Elementary School are doing an excellent job on their writing!





First year Culinary Arts students have been working with potatoes. They recently made garlic mashed potatoes, latkes, and Parmesan scalloped potatoes!
