Ackerman Elementary School - March 1st through March 5th is Read Across America Week! We will allow students to dress up each day (they must still be in dress code), and we will also have items to give students each day! Readers from throughout the school will be reading books to different classes each day as we celebrate reading. #teamAES

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK sweethearts at Ackerman Elementary enjoyed a fun Valentine math activity. The students used Valentine conversation candy hearts to add, and they even got to eat some when they were finished. #teamAES




Mrs. Conner’s 2nd graders at Ackerman Elementary School had a fun activity to go along with their Arctic animal project. Students were able to feel how cold ice was with and without blubber. #teamAES

The match versus Louisville that was originally scheduled for today will be shot tomorrow at Weir Gym. Staring time is still set for 4:30. Please come to school prepared to shoot.

BASKETBALL REMINDER
The Chargers will be in action on Tuesday night in the first round of the MHSAA playoffs. We will be traveling to Booneville. Tip-off is set for 6:00 and tickets will be $8. You must have a voucher to purchase a ticket.

BASEBALL UPDATE
The Chargers will be in action tomorrow afternoon versus Lee Academy. JV will play at 4:00 and Varsity will play at approximately 5:00. Please wear your mask and social distance. Tickets will be $7.

ATHLETIC UPDATE
The softball games scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23rd at Ethel have been called off due to the field conditions at Ethel. The make-up date and time will be announced as soon as it is finalized.

The ACT for Juniors that was originally scheduled for tomorrow February 23 has been moved to March 23.

The archery match versus Louisville scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled to a later date. The match for Thursday against Kosciusko is still scheduled to take place.
