Choctaw County High School Senior, Chance Cork, had the pleasure to job shadow Mr. Cagle at Taylor Machine. During his shadow Mr. Cagle introduced him to Mr. Wright, a Graphic/Website Designer and that really intrigued Chance. He was able to create some on his own, get a contact, and make a connection. Chance started looking into graphic and website design as soon as he left from shadowing, and he will be great in this career.

Choctaw County High School Senior, Emerie Crowley, enjoyed her day job shadowing Ms. Paige Davis NP at Premier Family Practice & the Glow Bar MedSpa. She was able to see patients get lip and face filler, Botox, lip flips, and PDO threads. She learned so much about becoming a nurse, injector nurse, and girl boss as Paige is the owner of her office. Emerie plans to become a nurse and eventually an injector. She will be great in both career fields.

Choctaw County High School Senior, Eli Green, enjoyed his day shadowing Mr. Brandon Estes with Campbell Global. Eli was able to see various parts of what a forester does. They visited active job sites in Choctaw and Noxubee counties, flew a drone over a finished job site to get a better view, flagged off SMZ’s so that loggers wouldn’t get in the creek, and looked for a deed at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse. Eli is ready to pursue forestry after high school.

Congratulations Raynee Lucas! 4-County held its Cooperative University (an annual series of interviews and team building for high school juniors) on Tuesday. Seventeen participated in an effort to become 4-County Youth Tour delegates, representing the co-op on local, state and national levels. Each young leader was a strong representative of their families and schools. Four students will be chosen in the coming days to represent 4-County as Youth Tour delegates for 2024-2025. Raynee Claire Lucas was the representative for Choctaw County High School.
