Congratulations to our HOSA students who competed in the MS HOSA State Leadership Competition on March 23-25.  All competitors who were competing in a health care professional event had to take a test and if they ranked in the top ten, they advanced to skills.  Competitors who placed 1st-3rd were able to advance to Nationals in Nashville, TN in June of 2022.  

Congratulations to the following students:

Makaila Burton-Competed in Health Professional Events and advanced to 2nd round skills in Clinical Nursing

Haleigh Robinson and Aniyah Nash-Competed in Emergency Preparedness Event-1st round testing skills in CPR/First Aid

Marissa McCool-Competed in Health Professional Event and advanced to second round skills in Home Health Aide and placed 4th in the state.  Congratulations Marissa!

Morgan Fulgham and Kyle Swindle-Competed in Teamwork Events and advanced to the second round, where they gave a presentation about their Health Career Display Board.  

Amelia Hood-Competed in the Recognition Event and took the Healthcare Issues Exam and was acknowledged for taking the test.  Amelia and her partner competed in Forensic Science at the MS Northern District Competition and placed 5th. 

Karly Tran and Nyla Bunn-Competed in the Teamwork Events and advanced to the second round of skills in Forensic Medicine and placed 4th in the state.  Congratulations to Karly and Nyla!

Sophie Vowell-Competed in the Health Science Events and took a knowledge-based test in Human Growth and Development.
