Our Sports Medicine and Healthcare and Clinical Services students participated in an amazing opportunity to tour the MS Forensics Laboratory (aka Crime-lab) in Pearl, MS. The students discovered what a career in the field of Forensic Science looked like in real life. They met and spoke with analysts from every section of the crime lab: Evidence, Firearms, Bioscience, Toxicology, Drugs, Implied Consent, Trace, Latent Prints, Digital Evidence, the Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit. A Big thanks to all the professionals at the MS Forensics Laboratory for sharing with our students about what they do on a daily basis.
